Friels Bygdegardsforening Samling, kultur och bygdeliv

About & Team

Friels Bygdegardsforening is built by neighbors who keep culture, care and local life moving.

This combined page brings together the association story and the full team behind the house, the program calendar and the practical work that keeps Friels welcoming throughout the year.

A local meeting house with a practical mission

The association exists to keep the bygdegard active, cared for and open to residents, partners and visitors across generations.

Community life works best when the room is ready before people arrive.

Friels Bygdegardsforening manages a shared house in Tun, Lidkoping, where culture evenings, family gatherings, civic meetings and volunteer work can happen without friction. The association focuses on useful programming, reliable stewardship and a welcoming atmosphere that feels local rather than institutional.

That means investing time in maintenance, clear hosting routines and partnerships that make the building relevant every season. The result is a village space that supports both everyday use and larger moments of celebration.

What guides the association

Three priorities shape how Friels Bygdegardsforening plans events, cares for the building and works with the wider community.

Open doors

The house should feel easy to enter, easy to book and easy to use for village groups, families and first-time visitors.

Living heritage

Traditions matter most when they are practiced together through food, music, craft, storytelling and shared seasonal rituals.

Shared responsibility

Volunteer time, practical care and collaborative planning keep costs grounded while strengthening local ownership of the space.

The team behind Friels Bygdegardsforening
